March and early April have been a very exciting time for New College Doncaster. We have had a brilliant two weeks meeting lots of parents and future students at the Frenchgate centre. We will be doing events each month at various locations across Doncaster, Thorne and Retford, so please follow us on Twitter and Facebook to keep abreast of these upcoming activities.
Our next big event will be our Nando’s Student Takeover at the beginning of May. The lucky Year 10 students who apply first will get a free Nando’s meal on one particular Saturday in Doncaster. Details will be on our Facebook page. These events are usually really popular, so don’t forget to apply early. First come, first served!
I had the opportunity to appear on Sine FM and BBC Radio Sheffield recently, to talk about NCD. A big thank you to both stations for their hospitality. A link to the Sine FM podcast can be found on our Twitter feed.
I would also like to confirm that BAM construction as our selected builder. They offered a building solution that will combine 21st century teaching and learning spaces with facilities to enhance and develop the individual. Highlights include the games lab, recording studio, and specialist dance and drama facilities. The building and facilities will enable NCD future learners to develop the skills to compete against anyone in the country.
