New College ranked as the fourth best sixth form college in the country for student achievement
The release of data by the DfE’s Education and Skills Funding Agency has revealed that New College Doncaster has been ranked as the fourth best sixth form college in the county for achievement. The Auckley based college, which opened in September 2017, posted its very first full set of results in 2019 and achieved an overall A-Level pass rate of 99% and BTEC pass rate of 100%.
Achievement rates indicate the proportion of students that both fully complete and pass their courses. Achievement rates are a key indicator of success for both the DfE and Ofsted. New College Doncaster also recently ranked top of the Doncaster performance tables for the progress made by students studying A level qualifications.
These tables are designed to be an important tool in helping parents and students select the best possible post-16 provider.
Brendon Fletcher, Principal, said “We are delighted that this data positions New College Doncaster as one of the strongest national performers, as well as a centre of excellence in the Doncaster area. My thanks go to our talented team of staff and students who have worked so hard for this success.”
