Three New College Doncaster students have seen success after entering a national photography competition.
‘Your People, Your Places, Your Things’, run by London Metropolitan University, is a national competition for photography and visual arts students currently partaking in further education. Students were required to submit a photograph in the form of either a portrait, a landscape, a still life, or all three. The judging panel included professional photographers and lecturers currently working at the university.
Eden Dunstan was ‘highly commended’ for her entry, whilst Willow Hartstone and Tilly Reed made it onto the 24-person shortlist, with the overall winner getting the opportunity to attend a one-day shoot at the school’s industry-standard London studio.
London Metropolitan University’s Photography BA course leader, James Russell Cant said: “We love our students to explore photography from a broad range of approaches that excite them.”
New College Doncaster photography teacher Laura Bunn said: “All three students are exemplary students. They have worked really hard consistently throughout the course and are super creative and dedicated.”
The students now face a wait to find out if they are selected as winners of the competition.
