We are unfortunately unable to process any new claims for the College bursary for the current 2019/20 academic year.
The amount of funds we are provided with from the ESFA (Funding body) was set at the start of the year and we have made allocations to students based on this sum of money and the number of claims we anticipated and received at the start of term. This fund is ring fenced for bursary students only and cannot be used for any other purpose.
We appreciate this is a difficult time for many families who are experiencing hardship and we are continuing to pay our existing bursary students both year 12 and year 13 for the remainder of this academic year, as well as any students on free school meals, directly into their bank accounts. We cannot, however, process any new claims or increase the amount we are able to pay as we do not have sufficient funds available.
